Stephanie, my Valentines Day was very romantic.

I woke up and went down to the kitchen. Sitting on the table was a huge beautiful Valentine Card, two Giant "Fresh Cut Roses" candles and two bags of my favorite "Lindt" chocolate.

I have the best DH on the planet.

xoxo

I don't know how romantic my story is,but I had completely forgotten that it was Valentines day. But when I woke up in the morning my husband had a beautiful floral arrangement and a card and of course chocolates sitting in front of my computer (first place I land in the morning. Needless to say, it is usually the man who forgets but in this case my husband of 24 years still hasn't forgotten how to be romantic.
I would love that adorable heart!

Actually, it all started on the Friday before Valentine's Day. My husband bought me a Cadillac CTS and told me that was my Birthday (January 28th) and Valentine's Day gift together. He also said that was all I was going to get. He usually means what he says, so I was okay with that, after all I had a new car. Well, on Valentines Day I wasn't expecting anything at all. I came home from work, and my husband met me in the entrance hall of our house. He kept talking and I kept trying to get through to the kitchen. Finally, he let me by and was I surprised when I went into the kitchen and found a vase with a dozen coral roses in it. Later, after the smooches, he took me to the bowling alley where we had had one of our first dates and bought me fish and chips just like so long ago. We have been married 35 years, is this guy a keeper or what?

My Mr. Romance brought me a minature rose bush this year as we have a long standing agreement that he will not buy me cut roses for Valentines Day~ every other day of the year is fine~ just not Valentine's Day.

We went to a special dinner prepared by a local personal chef. They open up the kitchen to show preparation secrets, and even give all the recipes o take home in a beautiful handout. The only problem is they prepared things way beyond our level...like Duck breast in Cranberry sauce with apple and turnip mash, salmon torte...etc...AT least we enjoyed it prepared by her!

**Shhhh!**

Hi Stephanie,
I'm was so happy that you stopped by my blog and said hi! Thank you so much for inviting me to your contest. Our Valentine's Day was so nice! I had farmed the kids out to family and had a romantic dinner ready when my husband got home from work. He walked in hiding a dozen red roses behind his back and a heart box of chocolates. I'm sure it's not the most romantic story you'll receive, but to me it was the most romantic and special evening we'd shared in a long time. My husband's life and my life together is literally an unlikely happy ending. Our parents were best friends when we were little and he actually liked my older sister, not me. We were both married to other people until I was 45 and he was 48. We were both divorced and somehow found each other after all these years at a dance for singles. The rest is history. We've been married now for 8 years. He is the love of my life and to me every day with him is a blessing!
