I heard the bells on Christmas DayTheir old, familiar carols play,And wild and sweetThe words repeatOf peace on earth, good-will to men! And thought how, as the day had come,The belfries of all Christendom Had rolled alongThe unbroken song Of peace on earth, good-will to men! Till, ringing, singing on its way The world revolved from night to day,A voice, a chime,A chant sublime Of peace on earth, good-will to men! Then from each black, accursed mouthThe cannon thundered in the South, And with the sound The Carols drowned Of peace on earth, good-will to men! And in despair I bowed my head;‘There is no peace on earth,’ I said;‘For hate is strong,And mocks the song Of peace on earth, good-will to men!’ Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:‘God is not dead; nor doth he sleep! The Wrong shall fail,The Right prevail,With peace on earth, good-will to men!’
Wishing all my friends a Very Merry Christmas & Happy New Years! Let next year be better for everyone!
Samantha and I had so much fun making her costume for her first Christmas play at school. She was picked as a puppy dog for the cast. We picked up a pair of plain black pants and felt. She modeled as I cut spots for her outfit. I used a headband and glued ears & a bow to it. She got a kick out the puppy dog tail. She was so cute and was not nervous. Did not miss a beat through the play. Well the poor thing got the flu bug later that night....
It was a evening I will never forget, she made me glow!
